Traveling by Car
From the North :
Take highway A5 (E35).
From the North-West :
Take highway A61 (E31) until you reach the A5.
From the East :
Take highway A8 (E52), direction Karlsruhe, until you reach the A5.
From the South/South-West :
Take A5 in direction "Frankfurt".
Then follow A5 until you reach the road sign "44 AS Karlsruhe-Durlach".
Bear right Slip Road (44 AS Karlsruhe-Durlach) - 0.39 km,
Bear right onto Durlacher Allee (B10) - 1.3 km,
Bear right onto Ostring (sign "Forschungszentrum/Stutensee") - 10m,
Turn right onto Ostring - 1,5 km,
Turn left onto Haid-und-Neu-Straße (L560) - 0,8 km,

Traveling by Train
If you want to travel by train, here is a direct link to the timetable of the Deutsche Bahn AG:

When you arrive in „Karlsruhe Hauptbahnhof“, take the main exit.
If you want to travel to the University, take tram no. 4 going to „Waldstadt“ (or Jägerhaus), then get off at „Karl-Wilhelm-Platz“. The Technologiefabrik is on Haid-und-Neu-Str. 7, on the left side. You will find more information regarding the public transportation system in Karlsruhe below.
Traveling by Airplane
The next Airports to Karlsruhe are Stuttgart and Frankfurt am Main.
If you arrive, you can rent a car or take one of the trains. From Frankfurt you arrive Karlsruhe about 90 minutes by train, from Stuttgart you need about one hour. If you have arrived there, see above for information how to get to Karlsruhe by car or by train.
via Stuttgart:
There is a shuttle bus from the airport to the central station in Stuttgart; if you want to find a connection using the timetable of the Deutsche Bahn AG:
- enter „Stuttgart Flughafen“ if you want to start at the airport or
- enter „Stuttgart Hbf“ if you want to start at the central station.
via Frankfurt am Main:
Some trains will start directly at the airport; if you want to find a connection using the timetable of the Deutsche Bahn AG:
- enter „Frankfurt M Flugh.“ if you want to start at the airport or
- enter „Frankfurt Main Hbf“ if you want to start at the central station.

Karlsruhe has a very good public transportation system. You can take a taxi, a bus, or one of the trams. If you stay in the center, the best choice is to get on a tram. During office hours, you don't need a schedule because a tram will arrive any 2 to 10 minutes at your station. Karlsruhe's public transportation is organized by the KVV (Karlsruher Verkehrsverbund). Therefore, with only one ticket you can use all trams and busses.
